Advanced Wound Repair Workshop
Complications of wound repair and healing are a common source of malpractice claims for Emergency Physicians. The Advanced Wound Repair Workshop offers a 4-hour course to address the repair of complex wounds and bring the practitioner the most up-to-date data on wound repair. The instructor will present evidence-based information and dispel some of the common myths that persist in the care of wounds. Unique wounds to the lip, ear, and fingertip will also be discussed. Participants will receive hands-on instruction and have the opportunity to practice the repair of uneven edges, corners, tissue defects, tendon lacerations, and much more.
